Schematic design migration is a challenge for full-custom design from one process technology to another. Porting will become even more complicated if the migration has to be done across foundries.
Many blocks have to be migrated in a short time and involve complicated conversion rules. Circuit topology may also need to be modified due to new process, Vdd, and new specs.
However, manual editing for porting is error-prone and a lot of customized porting scripts cannot be re-used and with no support.
MunEDA WiCkeD SPT is the first industrial porting tool that provides an automatic and fast solution for design schematic migration.
It recalculates the properties of target cells according to simple rules, performs terminals mapping, replaces repeatable instances using flexible property mapping, configurable, and shrinking rules. Besides, it generates conversion report for reference.
