MunEDA Advisory Board Member Prof. Kurt Antreich awarded by the edacentrum

Hannover, Germany - Tuesday, April 29th, 2003

MunEDA today announced that the EDA-Medal was presented by Prof. Erich Barke, chairman of edacentrum and head of Institute for Microelectronic Circuits of University Hannover. Prof. Antreich was honoured for his life work in Research and Teaching in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). With the EDA-Medal the outstanding achievements of Prof. Antreich during his long-term activities for AEG-Telefunken as well as the Technical University of Munich shell be well appreciated.

MunEDA´s Co-Founder and Advisory Board Member Prof. Dr. Kurt Antreich has been Professor and head of the Institute of Electronic Design Automation at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, since 1975. His research led to more than 300 publications and resulted in many significant applications in industry. He received many national honors and was a best paper candidate of the ACM/IEEE Design Automation Conference in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
