WCA - Worst Case Analysis
With WCA the circuit designer is able to estimate the worst-case conditions for individual performance specifications. It determines partial and total yields for given specifications on circuit performances.

Overview
Therefore the Worst-Case Analysis determines, for every specification separately, the most likely process parameter set (i.e. the process parameter set "closest" to the nominal process parameter set), at which the value of the performance of interest is exactly the specification value under worst-case operating conditions. This point is called worst-case point. The worst-case point can only be obtained as solution of an optimization formulation over both, process parameters and operating parameters. Several different optimization algorithms are available: sensitivity-based as well as evolutionary/genetic.
Feature Examples contain:
- Total yield estimation
- Partial yield estimation
- Consideration of operating conditions
- Consideration of process parameters
- Global process variations
- Local process variations (Mismatch)
