SCG - Parameter Screening

With SCG the circuit designer can filter during the design analysis and optimization process parameters with large and low influence on the performances and constraints. This can significantly reduce required simulation efforts.
Overview Data Display Automatic Parameter Screening Four Modes of Operation Integration and Interfaces
Data Display

In the Data Display parameters are grouped into design parameters, process parameters and operating parameters. For each of the three parameter groups a tabbed pane is created if that group is not empty. Each tab shows a slider to the left and a matrix on the right side. In the matrix the relative influences of each parameter relative to every performance and to every constraint are shown. Relative influences are sensitivities of performances or constraints with respect to parameters which are normed between plus and minus one such that sensitivities of different performances, constraints and parameters with different units are comparable. In the matrix these values are visualized by the length of the shown horizontal bars. The color of the bar indicates a positive or negative influence of the parameter on the performance or constraint.
