NOD enables the user to perform powerful analyses based on typical (nominal) process characteristics. The designer gets insight into dependencies between performances and parameters with very small simulation effort.

Specifications & Scaling Window
The Specification & Scaling Window is used to change specifications and scalings of the different performances for the Nominal Diagnosis only. These specifications and scalings are used only for interactive improvement in Automatic Performance Improvement. Lower scalings emphasize the optimization of a certain performance. After changing the specifications or scalings, the Ok-button applies the changes, closes the Change Specifications window and updates the data displayed in the Data Display. The Apply-button applies the changes and updates the data displayed in the Data Display, without closing the Change Specifications window. This button can be used to explore the effects of changing some specifications or scalings. The Cancel button discards the changes and closes the Change Specifications window.
