GNO - Global Nominal Optimization

GNO is a state-of-the-art stochastic optimization engine especially for optimization of circuits with non-linear behaviour. This enables to find global maxima and minima of the performance function.

When a new Global Nominal Optimization node has been appended to the History, the user can define specifications in the corresponding section of the main window by entering lower and/or upper bounds for performances into the corresponding input fields. Initial specification bounds are inherited from its parent node. An empty input field indicates that no specification bound exists. If a performance is not marked, it is ignored during the whole optimization. Its values are not calculated and thus simulation time is reduced.
