MUGM09 - MunEDA User Group Meeting 2009 successfully held in Munich

The MUGM09 MunEDA User Group Meeting 2009 was successfully held in Munich. The event took place in the Hilton Munich City on two days at 12/13 November 2009. More then 75 participants from MunEDA customers and partners took part at the event.
The keynote speaker Kunihiko Tsuboi from STARC (Semiconductor Technology Academic Research Center) Japan presented trends & strategic challenges for the global semiconductor industry.
During the two days of the conference numerous high-class presentation cases where held by companies and MunEDA-customers including STMicroeletronics, Atmel, Hynix, Infineon, ZMDI, IMMS, Lantiq and others. But also excellent academic papers and constributions about application of MunEDA technologies have been presented by leading research institutes and universities like National Central University Taiwan, Technische Universität Munich, TU Ilmenau, Ulm University for Applied Sciences.
EDA Partners of the MUGM09 have been IP-Gen, presenting there Layout-Generator 1Stone, and Mentor Graphics presenting the joint DAIC-Eldo-WiCkeD custom IC flow. MunEDA presented the new features of the newly released WiCkeD version 6.2 as well has given an outlook of the MunEDA R&D roadmap.
The Social Event of the MUGM09 has been taken place at world famous Hofbräukeller on Thursday evening with more then 90 guests.
