MunEDA @ DAC 2011 - EDA Tools for Circuit Analysis, Modeling, Porting & Sizing of Custom IC & IP
MunEDA WiCkeDTM circuit analysis and sizing environment can be an integral part of every design flow. WiCkeD incorporates tools for schematic porting, nominal circuit analysis and optimization, statistical circuit analysis and optimization as well as circuit model generation. Main applications are IP Porting, sizing and variation analysis of complex high-performance custom IC designs in analog, mixed-signal and RF, circuit tuning of post-layout and large block designs with multiple circuits, as well as statistical PVT and variation analysis and high-robustness optimization of memory cells.
The WiCkeD environment is outstanding in case numerical sizing is necessary and if sizing by equation is difficult and inaccurate, due to large sensitivity over variation and operating conditions, difficult specifications, trade-offs, and physical effects. With WiCkeD circuit designers can achieve speed-ups by 10-100x in circuit tuning after equation-based sizing and furthermore significant quality improvements that lead to less silicon iterations and improved final product yield.
